15 year old Phoebe Prince hung herself after being bullied by a group of six girls. Three of those girls have been to Juvenile Court. They were charged with violation of civil rights resulting in bodily injury and stalking, they pleaded not guilty. The girls charged were Ashley Longe, Sharon Chanon Velazquez and Flannery Mullins. Austin Renaud and another teen, Sean Mulveyhill, face statutory rape charges for possibly having sexual contact with Phoebe. They have pleaded not guilty. Austin was Flannery's on-again-off-again boyfriend, which was one reason the three girls were mad at Phoebe.
Phoebe's mother had talked to authorities at school about her daughter being bullied and some may say that the adults at school didn't do their part. That maybe if they had steeped in things might have been different for Phoebe.
I know this isn't the most recent news but it seems very important especially after hearing from the bully guy who came to school and told us what to do to stop bullying.
